UNB, Dhaka :A CMM court here on Monday granted bail to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on a bond of Tk 10,000 in a vandalism case with Jatrabari Police Station.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Waiskuruni Khan Chowdhury passed the order after the BNP leader surrendered before the court and sought bail.On December 9 in 2012, the case was filed against Mirza Fakhrul and other BNP leaders accusing them of vandalising vehicles and preventing police from discharging their duties in Jatrabari area of the city during a countrywide blockade programme enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance.Police pressed charges against Fakhrul although his name was not mentioned in the first information report (FIR).
