Court Correspondent :The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday granted permanent bail to BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 25 others in a case lodged on charge of killing a police constable.Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque passed the order after hearing on Tuesday. He also fixed July 22 for submitting the investigation report in the case. On Dec 24 last year, miscreants hurled a bomb into a police requisitioned vehicle in the capital’s Bangla Motor area during a shutdown enforced by the BNP.Police constable Ferdous Khalil sustained burn injuries in the attack and was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.The case was filed with the Ramna Police Station against Mirza Fakhrul and senior party leaders including Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and Member-Secretary Abdus Salam the next day.
