UNB, Dhaka :Police recovered fake stamps, including judicial, non-judicial and revenue stamps, worth about Tk 20 crore and arrested a man in this connection from Lalkuthi Darus Salam thana area in the city on Friday.Tipped off, a special team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), led by ASP Ruhul Amin, conducted two separate drives in two houses of Darus Salam area and recovered the fake stamps.The CID team raided a house at Lalkuthi in the early hours of Friday and recovered fake stamps worth about Tk 17.55 crore. They also arrested Bulbul for selling the fake stamps, he said.The team conducted another drive in another house in the same area at about 7:30 am on Friday and recovered fake stamps worth about Tk 26.85 lakh.”We are trying to arrest Shourav, the brother of Bulbul, for his involvement in the illegal business, ASP Ruhul Amin said.A case was filed with Darus Salam police station in this connection.
