City detective police of Chattogram Metro Police has unearthed a fake factory for making infurious drugs in Kalurghat area under Chandgaon Police Station of CMP . A large number of counterfeit medicines and medicine making equipments were recovered from the factory in a recent drive there. During the operation, the policemen saw that eight kinds of medicines were being manufactured from the same place made from flour, maize and chemicals. These drugs are being packeted with various brands of foreign and locals.
The police apprised it in a press briefing held at City Detective Police (North) office in Laldighi on Friday. Acting on secret information, Police raided the factory and arrested Mohammad Hossain from the factory.
City Detective Police Inspector Hasan Imam told that a raid was carried out on a counterfeit medicine factory in Belal’s building in front of Kalurghat Tarananda Mahakali Yoga Ashram. Huge counterfeit drugs and drug making materials have been recovered from there. These drugs include various local brands and expensive foreign drugs.
