Police have arrested two people from Akbarshah Thana area of the city along with fake notes worth Tk 5 lakh 90 thousand.
Police announced their arrest on Monday last. The two arrested are- Md. Sadek Ali’s son Md.Aziz of Barikotal area under Sarishabari police station of Jamalpur district and Md. Lal Mahmud’s son Haroon of Tarakandi area of the same district..
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Akbarshah Police Station Mohammad Zahir Hossain told media that two persons were arrested in the area adjacent to Akbarshah New Shahid Lane Jame Mosque and Forkania Madrasa with fake notes worth Tk 590,000.
A case has been filed against them under the Special Powers Act.
