A Dhaka court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of Aparajita International’s owner Sharmin Zahan in a case lodged over supply of fake N-95 masks to the isolation unit of BSMMU.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court denied bail to Sharmin and ordered to send her to jail.
Earlier on Saturday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam rejected her bail petition and granted three-day remand against her.
Police arrested Sharmin Zahan from capital’s Shahbagh on Friday night.Mozaffar Ahmed, proctor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station on Thursday night.
The BSMMU authorities alleged that Dhaka University’s assistant registrar Sharmin’s Aparajita International supplied fake N-95 masks with original masks.
