A mobile court here sentenced an alleged fake doctor to two years’ imprisonment and his seven agents to one year’s jail each in the district town on Wednesday.
The convicts were identified as fake doctor Morshed, son of Abul Kalam, a resident of Bahadurpur village in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia district; Abul Kalam, son of Sadiqul Biswas, a resident of Charmohonpur village and Abul Kashem, son of Abdur Rakib, a resident of Diar Dhainagar village of Sadar upazila; Sariqul Islam and Abul Kalam, sons of Raisuddin, a resident of Monnatola village and Mithun Ahmad, son of Nurul Islam, a resident of Ajmatpur Bagichapara village in Shibganj upazila, Manirul Islam, son of Mamtaz Ali, a resident of Bangabari village in Gomastapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district and Ashraful, son of Saidur Rahman, a resident of Narashinghapur village in Bagmara upazila of Rajshahi district.
