Fake APS to PM held by DB

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested a young man from near Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) of Sher-e-Banglanagar in the city on Sunday, for his alleged involvement in cheating people introducing himself as ‘APS to Prime Minister’.
The detectives also recovered one mobile phone and three SIM cards, including one of the missing SIM of Saifuzzaman Sikhor, APS to the Prime Minister. The arrested person was identified as Md Shahidul Islam alias Nayun, 28, son of late Garib Ullah Mandal of Bhangura in Pabna district.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB team raided in front of BICC at around 12:30 pm and arrested Nayun. The detectives conducted the drive following a case filed
 by Mizanur Rahman, on behalf of Saifuzzaman Sikhor, with Sher-e-Banglagar police station on Saturday, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of DMP Muntashirul Islam.
DB sources said during interrogation, Nayun revealed that he somehow collected a Banglalink number similar to Grameenphone number used by Sikhor and then he contacted different people using the Banglalink number introducing himself as APS t the PM, to cheat people of their money.
