Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said that free and fair city corporation polls are possible without deployment of army.
He said the government would render all-out cooperation to the Election Commission (EC) to hold the election in a free and transparent way.
“Previous city corporation polls were held properly. There was no problem. There would be no problem this time too”, Quader assured.
The minister said this while addressing a view exchange meeting with journalists at Chittagong Press Club (CPC) on Friday morning.
Quader said the government will not interfere in the process of holding the upcoming city polls in free and neutral manners.
