Legendary singer late Mahmudunnabi was such a singer of the country who enriched our music industry. He is not alive now but he is alive through his songs among the music-lovers. Anybody can do research works on him. To pay tribute to his noted singer, a special honour will be handed over to his two daughters, country’s two popular singers – Fahmida Nabi and Samina Chowdhury, at the 33rd FOBANA Conference on September 1 in USA. Fahmida Nabi confirmed the matter recently.
While talking in this regard Fahmida Nabi told this correspondent, “If my father is alive he will pass 70 years of his music career. It is a great achievement for his family that my father will get special honour after his deceased of 30 years. We are grateful to FOBANA. We really miss our father in every step of our life. He is not only pride for us but also for our country. I am his daughter, it’s my pride. I want to pass my rest of life with it.”
Fahmida also informed that two sisters will return to Bangladesh on September 10. Mahmudunnabi was born on December 16 in 1936 and he breathed his last on December 20 in 1990.
