Fahmida Nabi is a daughter of the noted music icon of the country late Mahmudun Nabi. By virtue of own rendering style and melodious voice Fahmida is trying to survive her father’s songs from generation to generation. For this reason, besides rendering own original songs, while getting the opportunity to perform in TV and stage shows Fahmida tries to render her father’s songs. Mahmudun Nabi won the hearts of many music and film-lovers to lend his voice for play-back songs. However, Fahmida got the National Film Award for rendering play-back song. But she is popular as a singer of modern songs. When she gets offer to render song for play-back songs, Fahmida takes time to think more. This time she is very much excited to render a play-back song for the movie Suronjona, which is being made by Syed Masum. Fahmida lent her voice for a play-back song of this movie. Milon Khan has composed the song, while Kumar Bishwajit has arranged its music. Bishwajit also lent his voice with Fahmida in the song. Fahmida informed that three days ago recording of the song was done. While talking about the song Fahmida Nabi said, “It is really a sweet romantic song. Milon Khan always writes song well. But earlier I couldn’t get the scope to render song under
his composition. On the recording day, when I went to studio I found Milon Bhai stood there with a bunch of roses. I became glad because
if the beginning was like that so, it will surely become something good. Milon Bhai told me, ‘You like flowers and renders song nicely. So, flower wishes for you.’ Then I lent my voice
for the song. It was really nice lyrics and tunes to shoot scene for the movie. I give thanks to Milon Bhai and Bishwajitda for arranging
nice music for the song.”
Fahmida Nabi also said that earlier she got an opportunity to render a play-back song with Kumar Bishwajit in a movie. Fahmida also lent her voice for a song Chaichhi hote under Kabir Bakul’s composition. Therefore, recently she also rendered a song titled Mon, which lyrics were written by Jamal Hossain.
