The second round games of the Mohammedan International School Chess Championship organised by Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and associated with Bangladesh Chess Federation were held on Wednesday at the Club Pavilion. FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh, Rafshan Bin Omar, Arka Sengupta of India, Akib Jawad and Subrata Biswas took the lead securing maximum 2 points each in Open group, Arpita Mukharjee and Asmita Das of India and Fatematuzzohora Sraboni of Bibi Marium School in Girls’ Class 6 to 10 group earned maximum 2 points each, Sayantan Mukharjee of India, Mehrabuddin Ahmed, Moshtafa Amir Faysal, Nova Tasha and Dihan Mashroor Niloy earned maximum 2 points each in the Boys’ Class 5 to 7 group, Jannatul Ferdous, Jarifa Nawer Rahman, Rumaisa Hasnat and Mayabi Marzan earned maximum 2 points each in the Girls’ Class 3 to 5, Abdullah Al Raihan Saikat, Ramim Ahmed, Denial Murad and Niloy Mitra Barua earned maximum 2 points each in the Boys’ Class 3 to 4 group and in the Boys’ Class KG to 2 group, Tahsin Tajwar Zia, Swarnova Choudhury, Sultan Z Yasin and Mushfiqur Rahman Tamim earned maximum 2 points. The 3rd round games will start today (Thursday) from 10.30 am at the same venue.
