FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman shared lead in the points table along with other 33 players with maximum 2 points in the Western Asia Youth Chess Championship which began on Wednesday at Waskaduwa in Sri Lanka.
Manon Reja Neer earned 1.5 points out of two games.
In the first and second round games which were held on Wednesday last, FM Fahad beat Choksy Anaisha of Sri Lanka and Neer beat Karunaratne Rahel Chaanakya of Sri Lanka.
In 2nd round game, FM Fahad beat Patel Riddhi, India and Neer split point with Jayatilaka Amodya of Sri Lanka.
A total of 187 players from 7 Asian countries are participating in the event.
