Factional Clash Three ethnic students injured

Two factions of Chittagong University (CU) indigenous students locked in a clash on Monday morning leaving three injured.
The injured trio is identified as Subinoy Chakma, 23, Newton Chakma, 20, both are students of Bangla Department, and Amrita Chakma, 20, from Pali and Culture Department.
All the injured are activists of ‘Brihattar Pahari Chhatra Parishad.’
Sunayon Chakma, President of UPDF, an organization of Pahari Chhatra Parishad said some activists of JSS, another organization of Pahari Chhatra Parishad, had a scuffle with UPDF activists on Sunday afternoon.
JSS activists again locked in a scuffle with the UPDF activists on the very night when the latter were coming back from Hathazari PS filing a case against them.
As continuity of this, both the group locked in a clash on Monday morning at Nahar Cottage leaving three injured.
CU Proctor Liton Mitra said, “This was a factional clash. The injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment after investigation, proper actions will be taken very soon.”
