Dhaka International University (DhIU) have accomplished all of it’s entity’s external peer review on Self Assessment (SA) by doing the EPR on SA activities of Department of Electrical, Electronic nad Telecommunication Engineering (EETE) from 13-15 July at it’s Green Road Campus, says a press release.
Dr Vichayanan Rattanawiboonsom, Quality Assurance Expert, Thailand was acting as External Peer Reviewer (foreign) while Prof Dr SM Kabir and Prof Dr AKM Fazlul Haque were acting as Quality Assurance (QA) Expert and Subject Expert respectively At this time, external peer review team assessed the overall quality of departments of EETE. They also visited different campuses, physical facilities, lab, library, cafeteria, interviewed students, employers, academic and non-academic staff and alumni, observed class room, research activities etc.
After that, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of DhIU arranged a daylong workshop titled Industry Linked Curriculum Review and Skill Mapping on 16 July at Dr MI Patwari auditorium of the university. Assoc Prof Dr Rahmatullah A B Md., Additional Director, IQAC, American International University Bangladesh delivered his speech on industry linked curriculum review while Prof Dr SM Kabir, Quality Assurance Specialist focused on skill mapping as resource persons. Among others Prof Dr KM Mohsin, VC; Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof Md. Rofiqul Islam, Registrar, DIU; deans; chairpersons; SA Committees heads and members and faculty members from all the departments were present at the programme while Assoc Prof Dr Serajul Islam Prodahn, Director, IQAC presided the workshop and Asst. Prof. RaisuL Islam Sourav, Additional Director, IQAC, DIU emceed the event.
