Masters Cricket: Expo All Stars, Acme Rajshahi emerge joint champions

Expo All Stars and Acme Rajshahi emerged joint champions in the Walton Master Cricket Carnival as the final match between two teams was abandoned due to rain at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in the tourist town of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
Expo All Stars captain cum former national cricketer Hasibul Hossain Shanta won the toss and invited the former national captain cum wicket-keeper Khaled Mashud Pilot-led Acme Rajshahi to field first.
Batting first, Expo All Stars scored a moderate 134 runs for 3 wickets in 15-over a side match with Rashidul Haque Sumon making the team highest 58 runs not out off just 42 balls, featuring five fours and four sixes.
Besides, opener Mehrab Hossain made 13 balls 23 runs with two fours and two sixes, another opener Ehsanul Haque Seezan scored 22-ball 24 runs with one four and a six while MR Mukul contributed an unbeaten 16 runs off just nine balls, featuring two sixes.
In reply, Acme Rajshahi scored 21 for 1 in 2.1 overs before the match was abandoned duet to rain. Hannan Sarker (8) and Rafiqul Islam (4) were in batting at that time
Later, both the teams were declared joint champions as the ground was not suitable for continuing the match.
Ehsanul Haque Seezan of Expo All Stars was adjudged the man of the series for scoring 164 runs in four matches with an average of 41.00.
