Bangladesh Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Society organised its first international conference at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the city on Tuesday focusing on the latest innovations and breakthroughs.
More than 50 liver experts from Bangladesh, India, Iran and Japan are taking part in the day-long event aimed to support stem cell translation and help scientists, researchers, and industry members to stay ahead of this constantly evolving field.
“The conference will showcase the latest innovations and breakthroughs in stem cell research and medical applications around the world,” Secretary General of the society Dr Mamun Al-Mahtab (Swapnil) told media.
“The participants are having an opportunity to discover the solutions to technical challenges in stem cell expansion, delivery, and integration.
The conference will also address the risks of stem cell therapy and how to improve the quality of stem cell research,” he added.
Stem-cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease or condition.
