Robbers looted valuables worth Tk10 lakh from an expatriate’s house at Bagbain village in Chhatak upazila early Tuesday.
Locals said a gang of armed robbers, numbering 10-12, entered the house of expatriate Majmil Ali at the village at about 2:00am by breaking open the door and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.
They looted 14 tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk2.50 lakh and other valuables.
Later, the hoodlums decamped with the booty.
On information, police visited the spot.
A case was filed in this connection.
