Expatriate Mizanur being harassed in false cases

An expatriate who has been living abroad for long time is being harassed by some influentials and made accused in fabricated cases, it is alleged.
Following the situation , victim’s family members have sought intervention of the administration.
It is learnt that Mizanur Rahman (27), son of Abdur Rahman and Mrs Neha Khatun of Ramnager village under Badepasha Union of Golapganj Upazila in Sylhet District has been staying abroad since long. But Mizanur has been shown accused in two police assault cases in separate police stations. In search of Mizanur, police raided their house and misbehaved with the inmates including female members.
Recently, Mizanur’s mother Nehar Khatun filed an appeal with the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sylhet, soliciting legal aid in this connection.
In the prayer, it has been alleged that some influentional and terrorist persons have been harassing her husband and expatriate son by filing politically motivated cases. Recently, her son Mizan has been accused in two cases filed with police. Nehar Khatun has been suffering from cases filed with police for which she has been apprehending insecurity.
In choke voice, Nehar Khatun said, “Influential Awami League leader and police lodged conspiracy cases, falsely accused my expatriate son Mizan and my husband. In fear of cases my husband has been absconding since long. She sought acquaintance from harassing cases and security of family members through media men.
While talking to media men DIG of Sylhet Range Kamrul Hasan BPM said, through investigation, action will be taken in the matter of Nehal Khatum Payar.
