A Malaysia expatriate named Kamal Howladar (45) died due to electrocution in Charmonai Union of Sadar Upazila in Barishal on Tuesday afternoon.
He was the son of Razzak Howladar of Dingamanik village in Chharmonai UP.
Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azimul Karim on Wednesday said that a case of unnatural death has been lodged in this connection with the police station. The dead body was handed over to the family without an autopsy as there was no complain about the death.
Referring to the family, Abdur Rahman, sub-inspector of Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital Police Camp, on Wednesday said Kamal returned home from Malaysia two months ago.
After returning home, he started construction work of a building at Dingamanik village of the union.
In the afternoon go to connect the electricity to water the wall of the house to be built with a pump. At this time, Kamal was electrocuted. After he was rescued and brought to Sher Bangla Medical College Hospital, the doctor declared him as dead on Tuesday night.
