The government has ordered the returnees to stay in their home quarantine for 14 days to protect them from the Corona virus. But this law does not comply with many expatriates returning home. A mobile court has awarded a Tk 5,000 fine to an expatriate returning to Bahrain in Fenchuganj, Sylhet, for violating home quarantine rules.
Sirajul Islam, son of late Conor Mia of Fenchuganj Noatila fined.Police said he came to the country from Bahrain on March 15. But the home quarantine rules were violated. For this, the mobile court awarded him a fine of Tk 5,000 and directed him to obey the home quarantine.
At the same time, three traders were also fined for raising the price of essential commodities in the market by making excuses for the Corona virus.Fenchuganj Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Rakhi Ahmed recovered a fine of Tk 3,000 from M / s Munir Traders, Kazi Enterprise 10 thousand and Zuma Store Tk 10,000.
On the other hand, Fenchuganj police have issued a warning to distribute various vigilant leaflets to protect against the Corona virus, monitor the market for non-commodity prices and stay home quarantine of new migrants.
