UNB, Satkhira :
Police recovered the body of an expatriate woman from inside a septic tank of a technical college building in Tala upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Shahanara Begum, wife of Shahidul Goldar, a Malaysian expatriate and mother of two children.
Mamunur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge of Patkelghata Police Station, said Shahanara went missing on January 4 from her father’s residence in Baghmara village of the upazila.
After a search, locals found the body inside the septic tank of a bathroom of Akhtaruzzaman Technical College at around 2:30pm and informed police. Later,
law enforces rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Police also detained the night guard of the institution for interrogation. Police suspected that extra-marital affair or feud with in-laws might be the reason behind the murder.
