An expatriate was stabbed dead by a local stalker named Minto at Modinapara area in Tongi under Gazipur over a minor issue on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Chunno Bhuiyan, 53, son of one late Abdul Kuddus Bhuiyan from city’s Gendaria.
The incident occurred at 12 pm when Minto attacked Chunno over a trifling matter, leaving him critically injured. He was taken to Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital and then shifted to DMCH where duty doctor declared him dead.
Zahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Tongi East Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
