A man from Chandpur residing in Germany died of Corona on Sunday morning (GMT) at his residence in Ofenbath town near Frankforte city in Germany.
The deceased was identified as Kamrul Islam alias Mukul. He was 60, said his family source and close kin in Chandpur. He left behind his wife, one daughter and a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death there and at home. He was a merchant. For about 20 years, he along with his family lived there. He hailed from Matlab Uttar sadar in Chandpur district. He is a close kin of Manik Pathan -ex-President of Faridganj Press Club. He was a noted social worker in Frankforte and very popular with Bangladeshis working there.
A pall of gloom has descended upon Matlab Uttar Sadar following his death .
