A human chain and discussion meeting was held in Kurigram demanding exemplary punishment of the killers who brutally beaten to death Abrar at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET.
The human chain was form in front of Kurigram Press Club at 11am on Monday and the duration was one hour. Coordinator of TIB Soumen Das, Sachetan Nagorik Committee, Bangladesh Udichi Shilpy Goushti of Kurigram District Unit, Bangladesh Mohila Parishad of Kurigram Unit participated in the human chain.
Eminent lawyer, President and founder of Sochetan Nagorik Adv Enamul Haque Chudhury Chad, President of Kurigram Press Club Adv Ahshan Habib Nilu, General Secretary of Bangladesh Mohila Parishad Protima Roy Choudhury spoke among others.
The speakers demanded to implement immediate exemplary punishment who killed Abrar, the meritorious student of BUET. It is mentioned here that the incident of Abrar Killing shocked the people of the whole country.
Jashore Correspondent adds: Concerned Citizens Committee, an organization patronized Transparency International, on Monday formed a human chain in front of Jashore Press Club demanding punishments to the killers of BUET student Abrar Fahad.
The human chain was attended by AHM Anisuzzaman, area manager, TIB, Jashore, Sukumar Das, Tarapada Das, Professor Dr Mustafizur Rahman, Moazzem Hossain and Mahmud Hasan Bulu.
In the human chain, speakers said the killing of Abrar Fahad is a bad sign against freedom of opinion.
