Speakers at a discussion demanded execution of the verdict against fugitive convicted killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after bringing them back home. No killer of Bangabandhu should be allowed to remain fugitive abroad when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in the state power, they said, adding the verdict against the killers must be executed at any cost by bringing them back home.
The Health Assistance Committee of Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee on Wednesday organized the discussion titled ‘Pride of Bengali and Liberation War of 1971’ at the conference room of the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital (SSMCH) in the city.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni addressed the discussion as the chief guest while State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan and Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin addressed it as special guests.
Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee President eminent writer and journalist Shahriar Kabir delivered the welcome speech in the discussion with Health Assistance Committee President and SSMCH Director Professor Dr Uttam Kumar Barua in the chair.
Addressing the discussion, Dr Dipu Moni said an anti-liberation clique wanted to kill the state named Bangladesh through assassinating Bangabandhu along with his family members in 1975.
