Impulse Hospital offers 'painless child birth': Excess caesarean operation poses risk for mothers

Experts on Sunday warned at a seminar that excess caesarean operation creates huge risks for mothers.
They said, in the last decade, the cesarean operation for childbirth increased by five folds. But in most cases it was not necessary.
They said painless childbirth will decrease the numbers of risky cesarean operations.
The experts said it at a seminar in the city’s Impulse Hospital titled ‘painless childbirth’.
The hospital also inaugurated its painless childbirth service at the same time.
Professor Dr. Zahir Al Ameen, the Managing Director of the hospital presided over the seminar. Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, the Founder of Biswa Sahittya Kendro was the chief guest.
Dr. Farzana Ahmed presented the main script. Gynecology specialist Dr. Niaz T Parveen, Professor Dr. Ashrafunnesa, Anesthesia specialist Professor Dr. Mahmudur Rahman Khandaker Laizu and Dr. Dabir Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion.
