Director Abu Hayat Mahmud was grown up in Cumilla. At the end of 2013, he made a drama titled Bhalobashar Subatash. After airing the drama on SA TV, Abu Hayat Mahmud got appreciation from all. Later, in last eight years, he made more than 150 single episode dramas. Before coming to direction, he was attached to practice
theatre plays. Therefore, he also worked
in drama serials, telefilms and web films. After telecasting his first drama, he got Charunirom Award for drama Obhineta where Mosharraf Karim acted. However, he presented several numbers of exceptional works like Red Alert, Prottaborton, Shornomanob series, Aguner Meye, Britto, Dakater Bou, Bhangon, Noyontara, Tanaporen, among others.
Abu Hayat Mahmud is now going to make web series. While talking in this regard he said, “I wanted to separate the story in the web series. Earlier, I made a web series titled Match Winner. I also made a web film titled Broker for Zee5. It will be aired in an international platform. Mosharraf Karim acted in this web film, which will go on air soon. I also made another web series, Bhalobasa. Now it is the time for OTT platform besides fiction based works. Viewers want to see different types of stories in the OTT platform. I am taking preparation for upcoming projects. Within short time I will make some web films.”
