Dr Shah Mohammad Farouk, former Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), died of Covid-19 on Tuesday. He was 80.
He breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
He was survived by his wife, two sons, friends, relatives and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at his hometown Mymensingh in limited scale and he was buried at Golakibary graveyard of Mymensingh town on Tuesday.
