Gilbert Houngbo, the former prime minister of Togo, was on Friday elected the next head of the International Labour Organization, and will become the first African to lead the UN agency . “The ILO Governing Body has elected a new ILO Director-General… Gilbert F. Houngbo will take office in October 2022,” the agency said on Twitter.
