Former Sylhet city Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran is being taken to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka by a special helicopter of Air Force as his physical condition deteriorated due to Covid-19 infection.
His physical condition deteriorated somewhat and he is being referred to CMH for advanced treatment, Dr Sushanto Kumar Mahapatro, resident medical officer of Sylhet Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital, said.
Kamran was admitted at the hospital yesterday after being infected with coronavirus.
He was being taken to Dhaka by a special helicopter of Air Force, Shafiul
Alam Chowdhury Nadel, organising secretary of Bangladesh Awami League’s central unit, confirmed from Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
He, along with his son Dr Arman Ahmed Shiplu are on their way to CMH in Dhaka, he said.
