Noted Plasma Physics Scientists and former Professor of Physics Department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Mohammad Salimullah passed away in a hospital in the United States of America (USA) on Wednesday. He was 68.
M Salimullah was a pioneer of Plasma Physics Science in Bangladesh. Several dozens of research articles of him were published in the Physical Review journal and about 300 research articles were published in different others international journals.
He discovered a new plasma potential theory titled “Shukla Nambu Salimullah Potential”. Professor Salimullah got Khwarizmi International Award, ISESCO Science Prize and several national and international awards for his research works.
He was a fellow of Bangla Academy of Science and Islamic World Academy of Science.
He is survived by wife, one son, two daughters, relatives, a lot of students and admires to mourn his death.
