Habibur Rahman FCMA, former President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), breathed his last at his residence in Dhanmondi on Saturday. He was 81.
Rahman served as Finance Director of Pfizer Laboratories (Bangladesh) Limited from 1973-1994.
He was in the Council of ICMAB from 1980-1998 and was President of ICMAB for 1991 and 1997. He served as the President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 1991.
Rahman also took keen interest in sports and involved in playing tennis. He was Vice-President of the National Football team in 1957 and also represented National Team in 1958.
