Ex-President of DRU Mustak Hossain passes away

Former President of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and Special Correspondent of Bangla daily Bhorer Dak Mustak Hossain passed away in a city hospital on Monday. He was 67.
“Hossain died while undergoing treatment at National institute of Cardiovascular Disease and hospital in city at about 11 am,” said DRU General Secretary Syed Shukkur Ali Shuvo.
He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Hossain had been sufferings from kidney and heart related diseases for long, Shuvo said.
His Namaj-e-Janajas was held after Joh’r prayers on DRU premises followed by at the National Press Club.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Hossain.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to his bereaved family.
National Press Club President Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmeen, DUJ President Abu Zafar Surja and General Secretary Sohel Haider Chowdhury and DRU President Saiful Islam and General Secretary Shuvo also condoled at the death of Hossain.
