Delegation of former captains of national cricket team and Bangladesh Cricket Board warmly greeted the first Bangladeshi president of ICC and Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at his ministry office at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday.
Talking to the cricket delegation, the ICC President stressed the need for introducing an appropriate calendar for cricket, saying: “To attract more sponsorship, there’s no other alternative but to fixing an appropriate calendar.”
He further said the development of Bangladesh cricket will be hampered if separate systems are not introduced for domestic cricket management and BCB management.
BCB Director cum former national captain Akram Khan praised the role of AHM Mustafa Kamal and said people will remember his contribution for the improvement of Bangladesh Cricket for ever.
Former national cricketer and famed cricket commentator Athar Ali Khan addressing the ICC President said, “We expect your all-out support for Bangladesh cricket under ICC framework.”
BCB Director cum media committee chairman Jalal Younus, former national captains Faruk Ahmed and Khaled Mashud Pilot were also present on the occasion.
