bdnews24.com :Police is yet to arrest the 16-year-old nephew of former Awami League MP HBM Iqbal, a day after a case was registered against him for reckless driving.Four people were injured on Oct 12, when the teenagerrammed his SUV into two rickshaws at Dhaka’s Gulshan. Police detained the boy, but later released him and said he was handed over to his father, businessman HBM Jahidur Rahman.Pictures of the incident went viral on the social media, which created a furore. On Oct 20, the High Court ordered police to explain the lack of action against the teenager for rash driving following a petition.Gulshan police Sub Inspector Ferdous Alam Biswas filed a case on Wednesday accusing the boy of reckless driving, causing injury due to negligence and damaging property.”Only one person is accused in the case; Iqbal’s nephew. But he is yet to be arrested,” Biswas told bdnews24.com.
