The ailing former parliament member Mohammad Yusuf was shifted to Dhaka on Monday for better treatment. Yousuf was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) yesterday at the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The former MP was undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a medical team, formed for his treatment, referred to take him to Dhaka when his condition worsened.

Earlier, the PM asked the Chittagong Deputy Commissioner (DC) to take necessary steps for treatment. He was an elected Member of Parliament from Rangunia constituency in 1991 by defeating the then war criminal and NDP chief late Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
