Amjad Hossain Milon of Tarash in Sirajganj is no more. He was in life support at Khwaja Yunus Hospital (Enayetpur) and later dies at 11.30 am on Sunday while undergoing treatment.
Amjad Hossain Milon was a heroic freedom fighter, co-commander of Palash-Danga youth camp. Veteran public leader Gazi MM Amjad Hossain Milon was twice elected chairman of Magura Binod union of the upazila, twice elected upazila chairman, repeatedly elected general secretary of upazila Awami League. This former Member of Parliament was the newly elected President of the present Upazila Awami League. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
All the friends, well-wishers, political colleagues and working comrades of this leader, including journalists, are deeply saddened by his death and extend their heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family members with prayers for the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased.
