Staff Reporter :Police recovered the bullet riddled body of the daughter-in-law of a former ruling party lawmaker from their residence at Munshipara in Khulna on Wednesday evening.The deceased was identified as Rabbi Sultana Lipi, wife of Kamal Uddin Helal, eldest son Mollah Jalal Uddin, who is former Awami League MP of Khulna -4 [Rupsha, Terkhada, Dighalia]. Kamal went to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj and he is still to return. Police recovered the blood stained body of Lipi from her bedroom at house no-13, East Lane, Police Lines in Khulna at about 8:30 pm, Moniruzzaman Mithu, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police said. ‘She was lying on the bed in a pool of blood. One portion of her head was blown off following the shotgun fire from point-blank-range. Police also recovered a shotgun from the spot,’ he said. Police suspected that Lipi was killed by her brother-in -law [younger brother of Kamal] Hedayet Uddin Mollah following altercation over family feud.
