Freedom Fighter and former Member of Parliament Khandaker Abdul Baten passed away at a hospital in the city on Monday morning. He was 72.
Abdul Baten, who was the MP of Tangail-6 constituency (Nagorpur-Delduar) in 2008 and 2014, had been suffering from old-age complications. Baten, one of the Liberation War organizers, left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
