Ignoring the police obstruction, thousands of worshipers took part in the janaza of AKM Mosharraf Hossain, advisor to the BNP chairperson, former state minister for energy and president of Mymensingh South BNP. His namaz-e-janaza was held at RK High School playground in Muktagachha on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, the janaza was blocked due to Corona. After Maghrib, his body was buried close to the grave of his father Haji Kashem Ali at the family graveyard in Kandigaon village of Muktagachha.
After that, the second janaza after Asr prayer was also stopped by the police at the playground of RK High School in Muktagachha, his constituency.
But thousands of fans, relatives and leaders and activists took part in the janaza, ignoring the police. Participants in the janaza lay on the ground tied by the police. The police however allowed the janaza. The playground was filled to the brim at the moment. AKM Mosharraf Hossain died at 8:30 pm on Saturday at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka after suffering from various diseases due to old age.
He was elected a Member of Parliament from Mymensingh-5, Muktagachha Constituency in 1996 from the BNP.
He was also elected Member of Parliament in the 2001 elections. At that time he was also the Minister of State for Energy.
At this time he was able to connect the gas to Muktagachha, ignoring many obstacles. Only for this one contribution will he remain forever in the hearts of the people of Muktagachha. He was everyone’s favorite man, regardless of party affiliation.
