Ex-JL leader lands in jail for ‘threatening’ govt official

A Dinajpur court on Friday sent an ex- Jubo League leader to jail as he allegedly threatened a government servant and obstructed his work over the lease of a local sand quarry (Balu Mahal) in Khansama upazila.
The accused was identified as Khalilullah Azad Milton, former Assistant Secretary of Jubo League Dinajpur Unit.
Earlier, police produced Milton before Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-2 and sought 3-day remand for
interrogation, said Officer-in-Charge of Khansama Police Station Kamal Hossain.
The court sent him to jail and fixed next working day (Saturday or Sunday) to hear the remand appeal.
Milton was arrested from a house in Mohammadpur of Dhaka early Friday as three cases were filed against him, OC said.
