UNB, Dhaka :
Former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader Ansiur Rahman Talukder Khokan, who had been remained reportedly missing for three months, was released from jail on bail on Sunday.
Khokan walked out of the Dhaka Central Jail at 5:40pm after his release order had reached the jail authorities.
A group of JCD leaders and activists received him at the jail gate with flowers.
Khokan’s family and BNP had claimed that law enforcers picked up him from his Adabar residence in the capital on March 5 last year amid the 20-party’s nationwide blockade and hartal programmes.
Around three months after remaining missing, members of RAB claimed to have arrested Khokon, a former organising secretary of JCD central committee, along with two others in front of a restaurant on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Faridpur Sadar upazila on June 15.
