Former first Vice President of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Md. Shahjan Meah passed away on Monday evening due to old age complications at his city residence .
He was 71.
He leaves wife, two daughters, one son and huge relatives to mourn his death. He was the Chairman of NLJ Fashion Ltd .
The first namaje Janeza of the demise was held at Jamiatul Falah mosque ground at 10 am on Tuesday and he was buried at his family grave yard after second Namaje Janeza held at Barik Meah High School ground . Director of BGMEA Meraje Mostafa is the son of the demise . President of BGMEA Rubana Hoque, First Vice President MA Salam, Ward Councilor Md. Giasuddin expressed deep shock over the death of Md. Shahjahan and wished sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
