Former FIFA referee and international Kabadi referee Golam Hafiz breathed his last at his own residence due to brain stroke on Saturday morning. He was 89.
Hafiz was also suffering from cancer for long. He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and numerous well-wishers to mourn his death.
His Namaj-e-Janaza was held after the Zohr prayer at KM Das Lane Mosque in Gopibagh.He was laid to rest at his family graveyard in Laskarhat of Feni.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Kazi Salahuddin, Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy, Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag and other executive members condoled on his death and expressed sympathy to his bereaved family.
