Former ambassador to Vietnam Maroof Zaman has been missing since Monday night after he left his residence to pick up his daughter from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport
The 61-year-old diplomat left his Dhanmondi residence (Road 9/A) by his private car for the airport on Monday evening to receive his younger daughter Samiya Zaman who was scheduled to land around 7:30pm.
Officer-In-Charge of Dhanmondi Police Station Abdul Latif said a general diary was filed with the police station over the missing of Maroof on Tuesday afternoon.
“The law enforcers have already launched investigation into the incident,” he said.
