AP, Australia :
Former England test cricketer Graeme Hick has been appointed batting coach for the Australian team.
Cricket Australia said Thursday that Hick’s contract will run through to March 2020.
Hick, who was appointed as Cricket Australia’s high performance coach in 2013, played 65 tests and 120 one-day internationals for England between 1991 and 2001.
Head coach Darren Lehmann said Hick “is a very experienced player in all conditions and will bring a wealth of knowledge with him.”
In other Australian moves, Greg Blewett will return as fielding coach after filling in as batting coach following the departure of Michael di Venuto, who took up the head coach position with English county side Surrey in March.
