GZMA Mobin, ex-Director of the Department of Film and Publication (DFP) died at a city hospital on Monday. He was 75.
Mobin recorded the historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the then Racecourse Maidan in 1971 as the chief cameraman of the DFP, family sources said.
“He (Mobin) breathed his last at Dr Azmal Hospital in Mirpur at 1 pm,” adding he had been suffering from various diseases including cancer, diabetes and lung infection, sources added.
Mobin left behind his wife, three daughters as well as a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
