Ex-cricketer Akram Khan’s housemaid found dead in city

Police have recovered the dead body of a housemaid of Akram Khan, former captain of Bangladesh national cricket team and also Director of BCB, from Mohakhali DOHS area of the capital. The deceased was identified as Sahida Akhter, 25.
Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in Charge (OC) of Kafrul Police Station, confirmed the matter to the media saying that on information from Akram Khan, police found the body lying near his residence in DOHS around 11 pm on Sunday.
It is seemed that deceased Sahida fell down from the roof of the building.
The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy. Details will be given after the autopsy, OC added.
Earlier, a housekeeper working at another BCB Director Jalal Younus home mysteriously died.
Nurun Nahar, 24, was first taken to a private hospital in an unconscious condition from the BCB director’s Gulshan residence on Saturday (20 August) morning. The doctors at the hospital declared her dead upon arrival.
 A case has been filed over her mysterious death.
However, family members of the deceased did not lodge any complaints.
