Ex-CJ Sinha acquitted from graft case

Former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha yesterday acquitted in a corruption case filed for corruption and abusing power.
Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order.
On December 4, ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain took cognizance of the final report in the case and pleaded to relieve SK Sinha of the charge.
Later, on February 2, petitioner Nazmul Huda appeared before the court and disagreed over the ACC final report. However, the court acquitted SK Sinha from the charges.
Earlier, on September 27, Barrister Nazmul Huda filed the case against former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha. Huda accused Justice Sinha of influencing a High Court Bench to issue an order in a bribery case against him, according to the case statement.
